HELLO!
Dream, crayons on a brown paper, 18 x 12,5 cm. |
Lately I wanted to draw something spontaneously and I draw this sleeping lady.
It was quite an engaging activity.
🎊
Happy New Year 2022!
🍶
Dear guests, welcome on my a-r-tistic blog where I am developing my skills in drawing and computer graphics, and trying to find a happiness in the creative process, too. Enjoy my cheerful creativity!
HELLO!
On February 2020 I arranged a short poem concerning a tough relationship between cats and Christmas trees because of disassembling the Christmas tree, and The World Cat Day (in Poland it's celebrated on 17th February).
I've translated my poem to English. The original one you can read THERE.
Below you can read a poem in a form of "the Poetic Graphic".
You can also find it on my account on Pinterest.

In order to find the perfect background I chose a certain photo as the main inspiration.
HELLO!
Here comes the 9th comic strip of the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames"!
Although it's cold & white outside, this story is concerning the Autumn but with a twist. In some way "the dark forest" is groundbreaking.
What is more, from now on I'll be showing "4 in 4" series in a different way. I'll divide a comic into two parts and write translations of bubbles below them. Then I show "the dark forest" in full.
Why didn't I come up with this idea earlier? I would like to know it too.
PLOT:
A certain girl got lost in the dark forest. What will happen with her, and what the Autumn has to do with it?
FIRST FRAME:
STRIP: After two hours in the forest...
GIRL: Wait, this place looks familiar... It seems that I've been here already.
SECOND FRAME:
GIRL: Now what? Should I turn back?
HELLO!
A story of today's work started with an inconspicuous doodle.
Probably it was doodled in 2019. |
I couldn't forget about a lady with a blue bun because of her monochromatic blouse. It may sound immodestly but I liked design of this blouse, and thought it would be a mistake to not draw it again.
For a long time I was wondering how should I portray a lady wearing geometric blouse.
There were ideas to show her in some abstract dimension or in a mysterious interior in which she leans against a harp. I rejected them when I noticed a photo showing Duomo di Amalfi. Cathedral drew my attention with its marvellous deep porch.
Window of mentioned deep porch inspired me to such an extent that it became a background in my picture.
HELLO!
Today I'm showing one of my aims with a great pleasure
. It is Hikaru Masai's portrait.
Who is Hikaru Masai?
She is a japanese singer who nowadays is performing as H-el-ical//. Previously Hikaru Masai was a part of Kalafina. This splendid japanese group disbanded in 2019. They were well-known for their songs composed for various anime series.
Previously I drew also portraits of other members of Kalafina: Keiko Kubota and Wakana Ootaki. I was so eager to draw her as well, but as a result of various obstacles I was leaving this aim over.
The time has come but I decided to change something in a style of portraying.
HELLO!
On certain rainy day I happened to be in Łazienki Park in Warsaw. In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful places in this city. There I noticed an interesting sculpture and took a photo.
You can look at the mentioned photograph below.
Bacchante holding a cluster of grapes, photo taken in 2016. In my headcanon a pigeon which is sitting on Satyr's head wants to join to Bacchanalia... |
I decided to experiment a bit with this photograph because there was a lot of potential. So I created a few graphics.
Please, give them attention.
Bacchanalia in broad daylight, no. 1, graphic. |
HELLO!
One day when I was searching for materials for future collages I noticed words with a lot of potential. Then I started collecting various eyes because female gaze was a theme. I cut them from old magazines, flyers, etc. What is more my own doodles came in handy.
HELLO!
After quite a long time the eight comic strip of the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames" shows up here. This time it's Summer's turn.
PLOT:
In the vicinity of the medieval castle ruins Summer was walking and eating Sunflower seeds (as a pastime activity) when she noticed that the way is blocked by the flock of birds.
You will find the translation of the bubble below the comic.
ENJOY!
HELLO!
One day I doodled a green dress with a patterned bottom. This inspired me to create a picture showing a woman in this dress.
Mentioned doodle. |
During drawing the first sketch I was having a doubt about the length of a dress and a hairstyle. I considered a maxi dress but changed my mind quite quickly. The only change I made with her hair was turning them into more wavy.
HELLO!
Lately old photographies inspire me to experiment a bit with them and create something new. And again, after works like attempt to embrace and dancing trees a surreal vision happened. Funnily enough it was a photography showing trees one more time.
Mentioned photography. I took in a certain forest two years ago. |
After the initial experiments I created a Rippled Forest.
This graphic is showing trees reflecting in the water.
HELLO!
Long time ago I draw a lady in kimono and left this drawing unfinished. I don't remember what was my purpose for drawing her.
I thought that using this sketch as a basis for a graphic would be a brilliant idea.
And it turned out to be a brilliant idea.
HELLO!
Here comes the seventh comic strip from the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". Today the main character will be Spring.
PLOT :
Spring was casually trying to break the fourth wall out of boredom when she noticed a small commotion on a nearby bridge. There she sees children who are throwing Marzanna into the water in order to celebrate the beginning of the Spring...
Below the comic you will find a translation of bubbles.
ENJOY!
Second Frame:
Children: And one, and two,... and three!
Hello!
Two years ago I was walking through the forest. There I took a glance at amazing trees because they came off as their trunks were dancing.
It's the very same photography which you are able to see on the right sidebar. |
So I started experimenting with this photo in order to create some kind of a surreal dimension (like it was in case of attempt to embrace). Additionally I mixed this photo with a different graphic but unfortunately I cannot recall which one was that...
Below you can see the final effect of my experiments.
Hello!
In today's post I'd like to show another part of the cycle "the Poetic Graphics". This time I worked at translating my poem concerning dreams and their tendency to set into peculiar structures.
THERE you'll be able to read its original version.

Hello! 🌸
So, this rare opportunity, which is an image of a man on my blog, has come. For this particular portrayal I chose a samurai. I accepted this challenge with a pleasure (lately One Piece increased my interest in japanese culture much more). I went through a huge brainstorm... Firstly I took pastels and made an undermentioned sketch.
To my own surprise this sketch was looking like a response to Sutekina tsuitachi o. There was a young lady sitting under the cherry blossom with an o-choko (a cylindrical cup which is used for drinking sake) in her hand. |
Hello! 🌸
I was wondering for a while where should I present my work - there or on my blue blog with poems (subjects of my blog are interchanging regardless). My hesitation came from usage of polish language in poem's arrangement. Few days ago I was doing some clearing-up in my drawer. I found the old papers, photocopies and flyers.
Between them I noticed a printout of my short essay concerning hanami - japanese custom which consists in watching flowers of cherry trees. With the beginning of the Spring, people listen carefully weather forecasts and their full pariculars in the matter of sakura zensen (cherry blossom front which is crossing through islands from South to North). Thanks to those informations people can appropriately prepare for hanami.
They celebrate a subtle, ephemeral beauty of cherry blossom in the parks, in the palatine gardens or at the cemeteries. The last of the mentioned places actually correspond strongly with a symbolism of gentle flowers, associated with the passing.
I've decided to cut some words from this essay and arrange a poem.
Why not?
Hello!
In today's post comes another part of cycle the Poetic Graphics. Below you will find an english version of poem concerning an idea which... Disappeared very quickly...
Annoyingly enough. 😒
THERE you will find original poem.

As for a background I wanted to use a blue colour and create an effect of gradual fading.

That's all.
Have a Nice Day!
Moreover,
I wish You a Happy Easter!

Hello!
Let me announce you a new comic strip from the cycle "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". This time Winter is the main character.
PLOT
In this story our heroine was strolling during the sunset. Then she noticed a black-haired lady which was leaning against a stone wall. This unexpected meeting reminded her of somebody...
This is the first time when a flashback appeared in "4 in 4" cycle. I thought that the best way to show transition between the present and the past is to make a use of snowflakes.
Below the comic strip you'll find - as always - translation of bubbles.
Hello!
Lately I was thinking that it would be so nice to draw a lady... But at the beginning I have no idea for this drawing. So I searched through my old notebooks because some of interesting ideas are usually there. Finally I found this particular doodle:
Well, as I can recall this doodle was made in 2019. I don't know why did I draw this lady in beautiful, long gown... And what did inspire me to draw her (it must have been something medieval)? |
Anyway return to this doodle resulted in undermentioned drawing:
What do you think about this work?
Hello!
In today's post you will find another graphic which was created thanks to an old photography. A mentioned photo shows my cat which was sitting on the windowsill. That day light was plunging into the interior in pretty magical way.
I experimented a bit with this photo. The most visible changes are an addition of the primary colours and blurring.
Below a graphic you will also find haiku I've written in 2017 (its english version I've made a year ago). This poem somehow fits into graphic's theme.
Hello!
Yesterday I was searching for an inspiration for backgrounds for the future "the Poetic Graphics". Among all of those old photographies I've found the one from over four years which you could contemplate below.
I've made this photo in November 2016 during a walk. |
Those trees and their branches looked marvellous. Thanks to them a photography resembles a painting with craquelures.
It looks so fascinating that I started experimenting with photo in graphic software. To be honest I was a bit surprised by the final effect.
Hello!
Now's the turn for the fifth post concerning a cycle the Poetic Graphics. This time I made a graphic with english version of my ekphrasis based on Frida Kahlo's the Broken Column (and you could familiarise with original version there). During reading her biography, I emphatised with Mexican artist pretty much... And that was the reason why I wrote this poem.
the Poetic Graphics: the Uncertainty, graphic. |
HELLO!
It's time for the second summary on this blog. During writing the first one I thought I should take a fresh look on certain matters and remind myself of them. It emerged that it was necessary to understand this year was full of experimenting and searching.
So, let's start!
