Summary 2024

 HELLO!

 

So, as usual in the beginning of the new year I will briefly summarise what happened on the a-r-tistic blog in previous year. I'll try to bring up threads concerning changes on the blog, and also potential things I would like to do in 2025.

SO, LET'S BEGIN!

This graphic presents parts of works I've created in 2024.

• Throughout the 2024 you could read 20 posts concerning the creative process of various drawings and computer graphics. I didn't keep off experimenting, and having fun with mixing media. For example, I continued creating works with mix of acrylic paints and a pen (At first sight?), metaphorically called "a romance between acrylic paints and a black pen".
• This year I was able to achieve one of the aims - a tondo among the sunflowers (another romance between acrylic paints and a pen). In the end of the post concerning tondo I made an important announcement. You see, on the right sidebar of this blog, there's a short list "Three Next Aims". So I usually put there challenges which seem stimulating enough to carry them out. The thing is that I will be slowly dropping out this list. After I'll make remaining 2 aims - an illustration to Joe Hisaishi's composition, and a Cityscape - this list on the right sidebar will be removed. But it doesn't mean that challenges and ideas will disappear whatsoever.
• Series concerning 4 Seasons "the Four Seasons in Four Frames" (in short: 4 in 4) is currently on a hiatus. To put it simply, I need to get a refreshing break. For now, I'm not sure when will I return with new adventures of 4 Seasons. It was a hard decision but I hope it will be all to the good.
• In 2024 appeared another work from the Wild Fantasy series. To this series belong the black-and-white pictures with a colourful accent. The new one, imagination's swirling exuberance is a picture with the yellow accent. The one which was developing for a pretty long time. In 2025 I would like to create the black-and-white picture with an orange, or a brown accent.
• Series "the Poetic Graphics" still goes on. In this series I present translated poems from my second blog but in a form of a graphic. The new ones in 2024 were The Treasure Seeker, and metaMORPHOsises.
• In the nearby future I would like to create a picture inspired by Greek mythology, again. Back, in my teens I was enjoying reading greek myths, and for some time I was feeling the urge to make a work about them. There's a certain goddess I'd like to portray but for now, I won't tell which one.
• This year I've made only one work involving pastels (Iris). The reason I mentioned that is the urge to create more pastels in 2025.
• As I recall, I didn't implement any significant technical changes on an a-r-tistic blog.

Well, I think that's everything I wanted to include in summary of 2024. So, now's the time to slowly complete this post. There are many things I'd like to say about 2024. Would I call it a good year? I'd rather call it bittersweet for some reasons.

Well, I hope that 2025 will be a good year in which I find much more happiness, and also I'll be strong enough to carry on ongoing series, and new projects.
