among the sunflowers

 HELLO!

Honestly I've never got a chance to create something on a circular medium. 

And I was really curious how will I deal with that.

So it became my aim - a tondo. Tondo is a term for a work of art created on a circular medium.

And today's the chance to show how I dealt with this chalenge.

I was wondering a bit about what I want to draw, or paint on a circular paper. I came up with an idea of a romance between an acrylic paint and a black pen. It's not the first time I'm doing this kind of experiment (previous works: lost in the dream, At first sight?).

Below you can see the net result of my work.

Wonder what kind of secret is she hiding...

As You can see the background of work is yellow and green. Why? The reason is I felt deeply overwhelmed by the moody days of November lately. So, I felt a strong urge to paint a paper with the colour of the Sun, and with the colour of the grass. With the colours making me think about the beautiful flowers like Sunflowers.

Below there are 2 phases of creating among the sunflowers.

Here is a circular piece of paper painted with yellow, and green colours.

And here I started drawing with a handy black pen.

Generally, in the end of the posts concerning aims I was writing the next aim which I would like to do in the future. Then it landed in the short list on the right sidebar. The short list I mean is called "Three Next Aims".

This time I decided to slowly drop out the idea of keeping a list of 3 aims on the sidebar.

But it doesn't mean there won't be any challenges. 

They will always be.
