A Bold Decision

 HELLO!

From time to time I like to cut an interesting words and pictures from the old newspapers, flyers or printed essays (for example a collage poem hanami was created from my old essay about japanese custom).

As time goes by those cuttings will become a part of collage.

And I'm writing all of this because I've created a new one, involving drawings and scraps.

So, this is the 10th comic strip from the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". Now's the turn for Winter to be main character.

PLOT:

In a certain city snow is falling calmly.

Who could be responsible for all those snowflakes?

4 in 4: the Greeting of the Spring

 HELLO!

Here comes the seventh comic strip from the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". Today the main character will be Spring.

PLOT : 

Spring was casually trying to break the fourth wall out of boredom when she noticed a small commotion on a nearby bridge. There she sees children who are throwing Marzanna into the water in order to celebrate the beginning of the Spring...

4 in 4: Once upon a time on the beach

 Hello!

Here comes new comic strip of cycle "the Four Seasons in Four Frames"! I'm publishing this a bit late because of many variants concerning one idea.

I've imagined this kind of situation: a child is playing on the beach, wind "takes" something from him and a Summer returns this thing to this particular child. 

Finally - through asking yourself about various details, I developed a story with addition of a straw hat (definitely too much "One Piece"), a stone and a cat built from a sand (well, it doesn't need to be a sandcastle, does it?).

 And Once upon a time on the beach is special in some way... It's the first time when comic strip from series "4 in 4" doesn't contain bubbles!  

  Frankly, I wanted to make this one without a speech balloon from the very first!

4 in 4: Nothing special

Hello!

   It took me so long to create the next comic strip of "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". At last I can present you (ekhem, quite late) the third one called: "Nothing special" concerning the personification of Spring.

I decided that the main theme of this comic should be boredom. Firstly I intended to show some polish custom characteristic for Spring... And I came up with different idea because of a sudden lockdown (which was kind of a... strange, apathetic time).

Each of the frames has got a strip in the right upper corner with the name of a month (march, april, may, june).

Below the comic strip you will find a translation of a bubble.

In "the March Frame" Spring looks a bit asleep and she's still covering herself in her yellow cloth (it's a reference to my previous work "A Spring" which you could see THERE).

In "the April Frame" I drew cherry blossom in the background (yeah, my soul is weak when it comes to Japanese culture and hanami).

4 in 4: the Worries of Winter

Hello!

   I'm so sorry for my tardiness with making the next comic strip about 4 Seasons. Fortunately I overcame a few problems and made it before the first day of spring.

   I'm presenting you the second comic strip of "the Four Seasons in Four Frames". Below a comic strip you will find a translation of bubbles.

   Please, let me know if you like it. You could also leave here some ideas about 4 seasons.

1st Frame:

Well, winter goes on and on, and there's so little of snow. For a while it'll snow and then it'll quickly melt. Some people claim that Spring has already come... Pff! It's a fat chance she would like to!

2nd Frame: 

There's no doubt that it warmed up. With this kind of weather ALMOST everything melted.

A Reader - end of story

Hello!

This is a title of my little cycle: A Reader. Well, I created it because I asked myself: How could I encourage somebody to reading? (another reason: it was also connected with passing one exam about social communication :-) 

My response was: by feelings and an empathy.

The fact that I love reading books isn't a secret. I think that books are good when people are worrying about something and feeling upset and unhappy. Year ago I saw the same motif in M. Zusak's The Book Thief (btw. that's an amazing book). Reading is helpful especially if everything around looks sad and grey. People could forget about their worries for a while thanks to colorful stories. 

     Well, I focused much more on a plot than a form (somehow similar to my previous work). I hope this idea could encourage to reading.

Today I won't write too much. I made a short cycle recently because I wanted to understand something connected with communication among people. I'll just publish it. When I'll show the last one piece of this cycle, then I'll write what's going on.

Reverie

Long time no see!

Firstly - I'm sorry for my long absence (again!). I've got lots of things to do and somewhere between them I stopped with my drawings. Well, today I decided to do the same thing I've done with "a hope of the phoenix" - I'll publish not only a drawing but also a poem (THERE <- polish version). I hope you will enjoy this.

Oh, and one more thing. 

Why did I decide to draw a theme like "reverie"? Once in one of the books about art I noticed a masterpiece of Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Its title was Reverie. 

It depicted a beautiful and thoughtful lady. 

To be honest, it was a little inspiration for me.

A Joy in Four Pannels

Hello!

Only when a Joy is pleased to others did the Joy is experience,

crayons and pens on paper, 29,3 x 21 cm.

A title is a Karl Barth's quote and I've hope that my translation is properly.
In the upper part of my work there is a polish version of his quote.

Hello! 

Well, a title could sound very strange... Especially, for me. In Poland we call this game: "Chińczyk" or "Gra w chińczyka". On the Wikipedia I read that "Mensch ärgere Dich nicht" could be translated as "Man, don't get annoyed". It is really strange.

Now I'm writing about this because I wanted to publish there my drawing - an illustration for one article about games. I entitled my drawing in polish because of sentiment to this game.

I rarely draw men. Maybe I should change it... 

You may be mistaken by blue and yellow colours. In fact, their blouses don't signify a colour of their pawns (girl's pawns are blue).

Shortly, I'll say about drawing this tall lady, standing in red dress, combing her long black hair in indefinite space. That drawing was made because of my strange tendency to drawing women. Really, I like drawing them... especially, their hair. 

Galadriel- an adventure is more colorful!

Hello!

I would like to return to my drawing of Galadriel after a short break. Now I'm (slowly) going to come to an end this drawing.

Do you see a short person in the right lower corner? Yup, this is Gimli. Ultimately, I drew him there (lately, I wasn't sure where I should 'install' him)... because of a Galadriel's hair motif :-)

Next, I used a colours. I started with a skin and a hair of our protagonists.

Well, I'm still drawing a Galadriel. Recently, I took time out to draw her. So I'm going to present some ideas before the break.

At first I made a probable Gimli's profiles on another paper...

... and next I started reconsidering which one (profile) could be better. I'm still thinking about it and still don't know... Finally, I must solve this problem :-D

'Galadriel'- next chapter of adventure

As you see, I really wanted to hint somehow a Gimli's presence... You could see it in this picture (but now he was erased by rubber). Not only you could see a probable Gimli's profile, but also you could noticed a changes in Galadriel's appearance. Do you see a difference?

• Her hairstyle. I wanted to make her hair more beautiful and fine. I even prelongated them a little bit. Obviously, she holds a long wisp of hair. In addition, I erased an unruly fringe.
• Her dress. I decided to show Galadriel in a plain, gossamer and delicate dress. Especially, I changed her neckline (plus, I added a decorative sash, made from a pretty delicate material; sash is pinned by a tiny buttons) and long sleeves. 
• I also draw a Galadriel's foot. So you could notice Galadriel in motion.
• I also wanted to draw her reaching for a scissors, so...
