a Dragon - part 2

 HELLO!

Today's the continuation of creating a dragon, and consequently - this is the last part of dealing with the dragon. If you want to remind yourself what happened in the 1st part, check it out HERE. 

My next step was colouring a dragon's eyes. 

I coloured his eyes with crayons - yellow, green and blue.

At first I wasn't sure which colours should I choose for this dragon. I was thinking about it pretty long.

Finally I decided that dragon will be gray, his thorns - brown, red, orange and yellow. 

But I started from creating a background with soft pastels. I wanted to get an effect of the evening sky which is glowing because of the fire.

So, as I wrote this is the last graphic which was based on the Other World. 

Hope you'll enjoy this work... and also my tendency to wordplay. 

I chose violet as a dominant colour for this graphic because of its mysterious beauty.

A Reader - end of story

This is a title of my little cycle: A Reader. Well, I created it because I asked myself: How could I encourage somebody to reading? (another reason: it was also connected with passing one exam about social communication :-) 

My response was: by feelings and an empathy.

The fact that I love reading books isn't a secret. I think that books are good when people are worrying about something and feeling upset and unhappy. Year ago I saw the same motif in M. Zusak's The Book Thief (btw. that's an amazing book). Reading is helpful especially if everything around looks sad and grey. People could forget about their worries for a while thanks to colorful stories. 

     Well, I focused much more on a plot than a form (somehow similar to my previous work). I hope this idea could encourage to reading.

I'm sorry for my long absence on this blog.
I have got so many things to do.

In the end of the year 2017 I wish lots of happiness, health, love, patience and power to make your dreams come true. Happy New Year 2018!

Once I've drawn this young lady who was reading poems for children. Mentioned poems were created by polish poet - Julian Tuwim (1894-1953). To be honest, I couldn't help myself and I drew on a book's cover a cat with an empty bowl. One of Tuwim's poems concerned a kitten which was dreaming about a milk.

Girl is thoughtful. She loves reading but she doesn't like when somebody interrupts her.

Quite understandable.

I don't know why I didn't admit that I had finished 'Project: Galadriel'... during Easter.

Am I absent-minded or something? 

Probably, but I was only enjoying a festival.

Well, I finished it by filling a background blue crayons.

Hello!

This is a poison dart frog- that exotic frog from my lists of 'drawing-aims' on the side panel. 

One day, I found a sketch of this frog which I made basing on one amazing photo in magazine. And I decided to finish this drawing, to make it complete... but now... when I'm looking at this picture, I still think that it isn't finished...

I started to colouring the background. I must say that I'm really proud of this tree, this oak. Maybe in some places, I added too much black colour but at last, I'm glad.
