the Poetic Graphics: kintsugi

 HELLO!

Around the Christmas I published a poem concerning kintsugi on my second blog. Kintsugi is the japanese way of fixing destroyed vessels with a lacquer which is mixed with a powdered gold or silver.

I wanted to translate this poem, and show this translation in a form of "the Poetic Graphic".

SUMMARY 2021

 Hello in the New Year!

In this very beginning of the year I would like to briefly summarise my activity in 2021.

Let's go!

  • This year I published 24 posts on this blog, and it's a new record.
  • I made small changes on the blog. One of them happened at the end of the right sidebar, and it was called: a-r-thoughts.
  • I've accomplished 2 aims from my list this year. I'm glad that I draw the portrait of Hikaru Masai, and "pastelled" a portrayal of a Samurai. Now the new aims became: the Portrayal of  Pandora, and a dragon. I hope that this year I'll be able to create an illustration to Shostakovich's Waltz no. 2 too.

 HELLO!

Dream, crayons on a brown paper, 18 x 12,5 cm.

Lately I wanted to draw something spontaneously and I draw this sleeping lady.

It was quite an engaging activity.

the Poetic Graphics: where did christmas tree hide

 HELLO!

On February 2020 I arranged a short poem concerning a tough relationship between cats and Christmas trees because of disassembling the Christmas tree, and The World Cat Day (in Poland it's celebrated on 17th February).

I've translated my poem to English. The original one you can read THERE.

Below you can read a poem in a form of "the Poetic Graphic"

You can also find it on my account on Pinterest.

In order to find the perfect background I chose a certain photo as the main inspiration.

4 in 4: the dark forest

 HELLO!

Here comes the 9th comic strip of the series "the Four Seasons in Four Frames"

Although it's cold & white outside, this story is concerning the Autumn but with a twist. In some way "the dark forest" is groundbreaking.

What is more, from now on I'll be showing "4 in 4" series in a different way. I'll divide a comic into two parts and write translations of bubbles below them. Then I show "the dark forest" in full.

Why didn't I come up with this idea earlier? I would like to know it too.

PLOT:

A certain girl got lost in the dark forest. What will happen with her, and what the Autumn has to do with it?

FIRST FRAME:

STRIP: After two hours in the forest...

GIRL: Wait, this place looks familiar... It seems that I've been here already.

SECOND FRAME:

GIRL: Now what? Should I turn back?
