Calendulas

Hello!

Calendulas, pastel on paper, 21x14,5 cm.

Similarly to Dianthuses, this pastel was a gift for someone special too. Title is a latin version of 'marigolds'. I think that Calendulas sounds much better for a title of this pastel.

For today, that's all. I - also - wish that I'll finish a still nature - my pretty old aim - pretty soon.

Dianthuses

Hello!

In the last beautiful day of August I want to show you my pastel with dianthuses. I only heard somewhere that they're considered as a symbol of boldness. Don't know if it was truth but it was my gift for one special person.

Please, take a look.

a Hope of the Phoenix

Hello!

In this post I want to show you not only a pastel but also my poem about its. If you are interested, please take a look.

a hope of the phoenix, pastel on paper, 21x14,9 cm.

a hope of the phoenix

the phoenix flitted
it lost its fiery feathers
during a flight
but feathers didn't fall on the Earth
- with a sunset as a background
feathers separate somewhere above in the air
beyond a man's reach

the phoenix saw a sunset
while it was burning out of sadness
and flew towards the Sun
however it still had got a hope
for rebirth

towards new life
the phoenix flew to be born
in rays of the new day

That's all. If you are interested in polish version (original :-) of poem,
please take a look THERE.

Have a nice day!

Eurasian bittern

Hello!

I'm sorry for my long absence. After this long time I decided to start with sketch of one animal. I found a wonderful and inspirational photo of Eurasian bittern (in polish: Bąk zwyczajny). In this photo, a bittern was walking in specific way through water.
