HELLO!
For some time certain thought was tickling my mind, and it was the idea of drawing a lady wearing a kimono. Maybe it's because I haven't been doing an art inspired by Japanese culture in quite a long time. At first I've got no idea how to compose a picture, or which colours I should choose. Finally I came up with usage of a contrast, and with an addition of something symbolic.
Below You could look at my work - letting the red crane go.

So, in the winter snowless landscape there is a lady in a colourful kimono. Kimono's yellow and pink; it's decorated with simplified flowers of Japanese camellia, and branches of japanese pine trees. According to article on "japantravel.navitime.com" camellias and pine trees are among the floral patterns for Winter kimonos. Lady laid a red paper crane on a water's surface.
I thought it might be a good idea to contrast vivid colours of her kimono with the dull colours of the landscape.
The red paper crane may be a symbol of something heavy (for example - stressful events, intrusive thoughts, daily struggles, etc.), and it may be necessary to let go of it in order to function normally. But to You it may be something different.
Below there are 2 photos showing the stages of my work.
So, that's all.
Let me know in the comments what do You think about letting the red crane go.
